How Future Religions influence Politics & Sciences – being supported by Behavioral Economics

Behavioral Economics might be utilized to promote religious influences on politics, media, marketing, science and education.

What is religion in human societies – currently today and what has it been?

It has been giving us values in social and ethical matters but also on political regards. Religious leaders in history sometimes did (and still nowadays do) act as well as political leaders. Religion gives ethical values to people and thus promotes a kind of “group ethics glue” to its people or society.

Did the western civilization lose its ethical values by diversifying between religious churches and sects on the one hand and secular or state’s or civil daily rules and structures on the other hand?

It seems as if on the background of globalization and dissolved responsibilities, with presence and practice of churches being separated from issuing or influencing state’s laws, people more and more tend to miss spiritual values and orientation in their secularised world.

But remedy is at hand! Politics and consumer brands take over and become new collective religious and spiritual superiors. Best examples are Barak Obama’s first presidential campaign or Apple’s brand fan community.

And for those who wouldn’t accept this, the churches are getting their second chances – and taking it. The less religious and the more technological and rational our global world is becoming the more people want leading orientation, giving social and spiritual (including meditation, spiritual wisdom,, etc. but also simple wellness or yoga lessons, etc.) values. And this is why even religious extremes are globally expanding.

Well, we’re still in the 2010s – but with some strong valuable signals and indices to bust future separation of religions and state affairs. So the question is: How do we deal with global subconscious religious and spiritual moods?

Actually, insights deriving from behavioral economics research and neurosciences show us what people want. And it’s not about, what they want in short lived mood driven activities – it’s about: What they really want driven by their subconscious moods and group minds.

What’s more obvious than using these afore mentioned insights from behavioral economics sciences on this globally growing religious trend and development for to control or influence and nudge social groups or even society’s development itself?

Religious influences implemented into society by behavioral economics: For a better world.
… or for better sales and political election rates?

The development this is leading us to? Maybe we’re greeting a future decade or even longer period where religious principles and dogmata are established as normal in politics and government, in brand communication and brand building … a time where controlling or influencing the citizen’s minds and decision making is so advanced that they (… or should I say: we) don’t even see or feel this controlling, influencing. Because it’s language isa hidden, talking to our subconcious minds.

Because it is what people want in coming societies from east to west, north to south. Values and orientation. Religion, shallow spiritual values and socially safe emotions making life feeling active, strong and colorful.

Ok …

This all might sound a bit gloomy to some of you. Mind control, subconsciously controlled decisions and society, etcetera .. all done by some psychologists, behavioral reaearchers, neuroscientists and marketing  and economy theorists …
Sorry t0 say so: lots of very profound researches give proof that most of our daily decisions are subconsciously driven or controlled. How much? On average 95% and up to 99% of our daily decisions. Mother nature has given us the perfect auto pilot.
Just because: Since stone ages or before us being Humans it has always been important for our individual survival to act an react as fast aspossible when in wilderness and dangers – withour slowly computed conscious decision thinking. These suconscious behavioral drivers still exist and work very well.

Back to religious values and influences on our future: Social and spiritual ethics and values are good. That is something we can agree on. But: Ethics vary depending on the group or society they come from. This is to be discussed or developed: globally acceptable operatable social and spiritual ethics and values.

From ethics to religious values – since we are easy to influence by our subconscious moods and drivers, it is important to know, where things begin.

The solution?

Know thy self.*
